Testing, testing..

I hope everyone had a great Christmas with family and friends! Braylen really enjoyed all of his gifts, he made out like a bandit at all of our get togethers. I didn't get to take too many pictures but here are a few from my phone.

We are trying to get ready for the new year around here. Hoping that it brings lots of joy and good things. We will start it off next week by taking Braylen to St. Louis to see a pediatric neurologist. They will be doing a few tests to check for seizure disorders. We woke up on Christmas Eve to find that he had another seizure while sleeping. It was a febrile seizure and he had pneumonia. He has been on several rounds of medicine for the last 5 days and breathing treatments. His pediatrician is worried that the febrile seizures could be a different disorder coming out disguised with the fevers.

He is doing much better and we appreciate all the good thoughts and prayers that have been coming our way. I will update with what the neurologist finds, I hope that we can get some answers.

It's Santa!

Last weekend the company that Brett works for had a Breakfast with Santa event for the employees and all of their kids. There were games, balloon animals, and cookie decorating. Of course they had Santa and Mrs. Claus there for the kids to see. This was the first year that Braylen was going to see Santa. We had been preparing him for weeks to sit on Santa's lap and tell him what he wanted for Christmas. After you see the photo it is needless to say that it did not go so well. At least there were no tears, just terror and grappling.

(So sorry it is sideways, I can't for the life of me get it to rotate)
Well I got to sit on Santa's lap. We Braylen ate a great breakfast and picked out Jenga for a family game for us. After seeing Santa he got to unwrap a gift from him, he got a Cars book and stuffed toy.

Party, Party!

We celebrated Braylen's birthday on Saturday with family and friends. I knew that no kids were going to be able to make it so I made it more adult friendly with a Braylen touch. I ordered these invitations from a website and sent them out. Pretty easy on that part.

(I edited out our address and phone number so it looks a little funny)

I decided to not go with a theme this year, I just make it all colorful and fun. Here are some pictures of how it turned out.

We had a Mimosa and Bloody Mary bar set up

He gladly picked all the M&Ms off his cake
Brett's work Christmas party was that night so we got fancied up and went out. We got a few good "cheeses" from Braylen.
