Cancelled, cancelled, and more cancelled
We had planned a lot for the end of summer to try and soak up our last bit of time as a family of 3. Good planning....unless you are put on bed rest at 32 weeks. It has been somewhat depressing to make the calls and emails to cancel all of our plans. Here's what we are missing out on...
- trips to KC to see my family. My older brother Scott and his wife Lindsey who live in CA were in town right after I got out of the hospital. Luckily they were able to make a stop here in Columbia to see us, thanks guys!
- a weekend trip to Lake of the Ozarks with some great family friends of my dad's. This would have been our 3rd summer going and we were REALLY looking forward to it...now we wait til next year!
- our Babymoon! Brett and I had planned a weekend in St Louis to get away one last time with Braylen and spend some quality family time. Braylen has been talking about his "moon-baby" all summer and was SO looking forward to going to the zoo. We are hoping to still make it before winter time, baby in tow of course!
- mommy and Braylen date day! This wasn't fully planned yet but I knew I definitely wanted to make a day just for us before my attention is taken away feeding his little sister. Since I can't pick him up or chase after him right now, this has become a no-no too. Last night we planned a date for this week playing in Mom and Dad's jacuzzi tub and eating ice cream so daddy is here if we need anything and I will still be sitting. We are settling but I think he will love it nonetheless.
Even in spite of all this, every day we keep labor away is another day baby girl can grow and become healthier, can't put a price tag on that.
And I want to throw in a picture of my boy cheesing it up!

High Five for Friday
I am linking up with Lauren from My Grey Desk to share 5 reasons why I am happy it's FRIDAY! I apologize that bed rest means they aren't very exciting.
1....One more week of bed rest down means baby girl is one week older and safer if I were to go into labor.
2....Now that I have ultrasounds every week I get to see her regularly. This week she weighed in at 4lbs 5oz and was super sleepy while the tech tried everything to get her to move around.
3....My amazing doctor told me that once we make it to 35 weeks to remind him that he said I could start getting out for little amounts of time! Whooooo!
4....Braylen has been doing AMAZING with me being on bed rest as has my fabulous husband. I am happy to be able to lay in Braylen's bed with him every night and read his book after daddy does bath and everything else.
5....Saturday and Sunday mean that I get to have Brett and Braylen home with me! Yay for company...be jealous I get to hang with these boys all weekend.

Week 1
Not many updates around here, laying around and watching a lot of Batman and Scooby Doo. I have also activated my free trial of Netflix.
Note all pictures are either from the couch or my bed, minus one Brett took. Yep.

Laid up
Officially on bed rest until baby girl makes her debut. She has impatiently tried coming early and we have been hanging out in the hospital this week.
A huge thanks to our family, friends, and coworkers for all the support and help this week.
Going home today and will update how bed rest with a two year old goes....
