Gluten Free

Brett and I had been thinking about going Gluten free for awhile now. Mainly because of the research we have seen and heard about gluten's affect on asthma and seizures. It is something we have put a lot of thought into and have finally decided to take a shot at it, a good shot. It will be a family change, mostly for Braylen's health but for ours too. There are many benefits of going gluten free. Braylen will also be going dairy free so we can see if that helps as well.

Now I'm not saying that Brett and I will never eat gluten again, I am sure we will. We are doing this for our baby, we would do anything for him. It will change a lot; no more eating out, family get togethers will be more difficult, and we have to make sure everyone that is around Braylen will be on the same page. There can't be anybody slipping him anything, even just one bite.

Brett's 25th birthday is a week from this Monday on the 30th. We are officially going gluten free the day after. There was a groupon earlier this week for Emealz. It is a meal planning service that has several different options for everyone. I bought the groupon that included a whole year of service for $29.00. We choose the Walmart gluten free plan. I thought this would really help me with gluten free resources and ingredients. I do not usually shop at Walmart but it seemed cheaper and even had some brands listed with it. I plan on checking it out and maybe taking it to HyVee to shop anyways. They also have a lot of options.

There are a lot of gluten free resources out there these days, including knowing people who already do it! I'll keep you updated on how it's going!
